Sunshine Dream
Empty linens of black and white,
Dull horizon in shades of gray;
Faded face, shunned the morning light,
wished that it had more time to stay.
Memories of the bright sunshine
come to mind just like yesterday;
In fond hearts they'll always dine
and shine forever, come what may.
Who would forget that grim, dark night
when the moon lost its silver glow,
when the stars faded out of sight,
when lively water stopped it's flow?
Though, to heavens above, we plead,
rain soon wipe the sorrow and pain;
May time soon mend the hearts that bleed
and golden sun will shine again.
*In memories of uncle Tony*
