Sunshine and Showers
Sunshine and showers for so many hours,
a life lived with balance that’s only ours-
Years of here and there with smiles and frowns,
so many highs and lows, many ups and downs.
I’ve seen the beauty in the daylight filled with love,
felt the showers of pain, seen the flight of a dove-
No matter the weather we’ve stuck together,
times of wanting to give up though loving forever.
Sunshine and showers for so many hours,
seen the willows wither picked blossoms of flowers-
Mother nature makes her way into our affection,
leaving strong adoration in a life-long connection.
Until the hourglass runs out of its grains of sand,
I will always be holding your masculine hand-
Rain may pour on our days without end in sight,
but there’s always that rainbow with sweet sunlight.
