Sunshine
A ribbon of gold through sky of gray
Casting it’s warmth on what lies below
Just for a moment on this rainy day
But long enough to restore hope
Gloomy eyes glancing up above
Hoping, praying for a break in cloud
The darkness has no more to prove
So let the light shine clear and loud
Slowly but surely the heavens release
A multitude of the suns smiling rays
They brighten eyes and give promise
Trading blue mood for bright blue day
