Sunrise

In the dark calm night, I watch the stars glow. The trees, their smoking scent, Soothes my troubled soul. I stare out, watching the waves, Feeling their misty breeze washes over me. I peacefully, silently wait for the sun To arise and make me feel free. Then it happened, the night sky, Changing from prussian blue To a bright orange hue, spilling out. Emotions in me were just about to brew. The waves, and trees seem to awaken. Me, sitting and basking in this sight. I close my eyes, listening as the world Awaken from its slumber, awaken by such light.
