Sun Split Haiku

early morning sun
a brand new day is dawning
hear
the cockerel crow

sun beams from heaven 
with uplifting mellowness 
they 
brighten up our world 

scorching hot sunshine
summer has arrived at last
eat
cooling ice cream cones

beautiful sunset
spectacular orange sky
soon
darkness will descend

Hi Jan, well i felt i needed a Haiku this morning so hear i am. I wanted to stop by your work so i thought i would look for one, i didn't have to look too hard and what a wonder my eyes behold. This is a brilliant Haiku Jan. From start to finish it holds together strongly. The words sing into my mind and the imagery that comes from them is so beautiful. I am not going to put the kiss of death on this excellent write by saying how i think it will do in the contest. A 7 and Fave. Hugs....Mike. XX
