Sun Brings Hope and Joy
Scarlets, purples, greens and blues.
deeply dark colors,
not enhancing the stark black blowing tree
rather making it appear darker
Where is the sun? someone asked.
When she gets here, she might be able to fix this
It was midnight. Hours before her arrival time.
The forest was morose, sad, deeply bereft.
The animals curled up and slept,
understanding that it would be chilly
Keeping their babies close.
The faeries hid in cracks and crevices
The sun woke them all up
A glorified pop of yellow that
warmed the valley,
changing everything
for she brought hope and joy
and the exact right color
Enhancing the darkness of the
purples, reds, blues and green.
The forest and meadow cheered
when they awoke to see the sun.
