Summertime In June
I sense the PEACE from the cherry blossom trees,
as I feel the tranquility through the warm breeze.
I take comfort in knowing my soul is at ease
when I lay on the grains of the sand along the shore.
For a scorching Summer is arriving; this season I ADORE.
No one can take away the eventide EQUINOX moon,
as I sit on my balcony and hear a hummingbird’s tune.
There is nothing as comforting as the heat in June
remembering my childhood in the pool in the yard,
GAZING at the horses on the farm in regard.
Midsummer SUN brings a fervent joy to a child,
the prancing and dancing in the park so wild.
The beach is enticing as the sand castles are piled,
for there is a heat wave lingering for some time
and the SUMMER SOLSTICE is vernal and sublime.
The blazing HEAT pours sweat down my face
and around the campfire, my hubby I embrace.
My daughter’s roasting s’mores with joy and grace,
I crave bonding with friends within my heart’s felicity.
For Summertime is for amusement and fun with FAMILY.
