Summer Tempest
Oncoming tempest
Charges the air with ion
Strong wind gusts predicted soon
Torrents of rain fall
Like a river coming down
Flooding sidewalks and sewers
A rainbow appears
Promise sign that seems to say
"The city’s survived the storm."
