Sandra,I love how you built on my summer lovin' THEME. Few did that, and then you contrasted it with winter, which I too Loathe!!! Loved how you made the lines parallel: line two adj with line four. Are you a school teacher by chance? Congrats!!

Thanks, Andrea, for the nice contest and my great placement. No, I was never a teacher, but I have a BA in English and started to write poems as a kid. I always worked in management/administration and am a retired business owner as of 2004. Hugs, Sandra

Nice Tanka Sandra and love this picture. Reminds me of an interesting picture I have in my hall of a tree much like this one in a meadow and as you pass depending on what angle you look at it from you see it in a different season. Good write and a seven from me. God Bless, JB
