The Summer Rain
The summer rain keeps pouring down
The sobbing sky, shedding cold tears
It cries for me, you’re far away
And the world is a different place
The pounding rhythm hurts my heart
Matching each beat of loneliness
The only refuge from its’ sorrow
Is the promise of your return
