Summer Months
Anacreontic
Yes, she will come
The warming one.
May kisses cascade
On Spring as she fades.
Calendars are wrong
Summers come along
Some unscheduled day
Secreted by May.
Stroll in fun June
Who holds the moon
To gaily display
As her own balloon.
Watch June move sure
For the lifeguard’s chair
To watch waters cure
With bright, fun care.
Bounce in bold July
For another try
To keep us busy
Eager and dizzy.
July loves parties
With hot energies
Full days of ease and
Grand firework sprees.
.
See stern August
Dare arrive flawless
Knowing that she must
End sun fun for us.
August closets
Summer polish
To tweak and shine
Final free flow time.
September enters
Somewhat deprived
Cause life’s schedules
Materialize.
September ways
Give us awesome skies
Long, fresh scented days
And deserves apt praise.
Summertime joy gifts
Memories that lift
To fill good time’s page
No matter our age.
