Summer Dream

Rocky cliffs over the sea breezes blowing a summer dream. The sun is setting with amber glows and blend with the blue evening as it changes ever so slow. I see the gulls glide below over the water and beach, as people leave before the night takes the evenings glow, that feels just out of reach. The last of the light from the sun then fades and the stars begin to take the light of day's place. I reach out and try to touch the sky and pretend I can catch a comet as it passes by. As the fire burns down to ash I close up my jacket and prepare to walk through the rocky, archway pass; To my home where I do sleep and hope that tomorrow I can come back and dream.

A great write. I think this stanza is solid gold! "The last of the light from the sun then fades and the stars begin to take the light of day's place. I reach out and try to touch the sky and pretend I can catch a comet as it passes by."
