Summer Clouds
Watching clouds floating
in the sky, brings me
such joy, relaxing me
to the limit.
As a young boy would
lie on my back in the
green grass watching them
for hours.
Something about summer clouds
and fresh cut grass.
As a cool breeze blows my
way and sun covers a cloud
a dark shadow appears
only for a moment, then sun
peeks down trying to get through
branches, but failing to do so,
Brandy my dog is not moved by any of
this, as long as she sits here and is
near me. Summer clouds stay there a little longer
to keep things a little cooler
for a while.
