Suicide Prevention

Every life is precious, And every soul deserves to shine. But sometimes, the weight of the world, Can make it hard to feel just fine. In moments of despair and hopelessness, It can be hard to see light. But know that there are people who care, Who will hold you through the night. It’s okay to feel lost or alone, To struggle with thoughts so inky black. But know that suicide is never the answer, And there’s always a path back. There’s help out there, just waiting for you, A hand to hold, a listening ear. You are not alone in this struggle, And there’s no reason for you to fear. So hold on tight, and don’t let go, There’s so much left for you to see. The world needs your unique story, And your light deserves to be free. Despite how much I cut myself, I decided to turn my life around. Taking your own life is a heartbreaking story, And this poem is dedicated to Tyler Clementi.
