Suddenly Swans
SUDDENLY SWANS
Highland lake, congealed cobalt…placid
rhythm of breeze on ripples
corrugates the contours of shadows
of the aligned towering trees
looking up to the cerulean sky
weaving transient tapestry afloat
on clumps of cotton cloud…
design enigmatic
morphing in sudden surge of wind
to a flying flotilla of patterned ivory
alight on flapping wings of serenity
with serenading avian grace
on sapphire mirror of the lake
the reflected cloud cluster turns
suddenly swans.
