Struggle To Speak Metaphorically
To put a proper name on what you're feeling
Tear away your defenses like a banana peeling.
You sigh with indifference and vow to be patient
For a miracle to happen via some for agent.
The nature of which is not one to be found
As you heap your emotions into one great mound.
Of thoughts that are read as true writing
That the likes of which the authors aren't biting.
As I sit here idle and bored while writing this down,
I picture sitting with a scepter and crown
Over the domain of my choosing,
Writing without paper, and not interested in losing.
The war of the ages, for all to be seen,
But unless you're in my shoes...
You don't know what I mean.
