Stranger

What I thought I knew is no more But a stranger knocking at my door Willful cunning the mask you wear Cheshire smile slinking to get near And I the blinded beguiling beast Let you come in to savor a feast Unrepentant and sallow and chaste are you Liquor erases the mind and all that you do Estranged and guarded the door is closed Goodbye darkness I will not be hosed
