Storm of Roses
Nightfall comes
and I’m surrounded by a
storm of roses
The garden weeps
enchanted by the
tears of the moon
The flowers feel
my lost love like a
cricket without a song
The farmer’s hoe splinters
as it is broken never to
refresh the earth
The petals fall
in rhythm to my heartbeat
Bees and butterflies move on
The birds sing
a very sad song
I will never love again
