Storm

STORM

the clash
                 the flash

\\\\\\\\\\\

of lightening and thunder

her tone
                his anger

########

of choreographed wonder

her scintilla lids
                             his cursive wrinkles

$&@$&@$&@

ripping, roaring – toppling trees

rain must come
                             sorrow takes a walk

:::::::::::::::::::::::

deluge dashes room to room

slamming doors
                             punching walls

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all at once a rainbow

she looks up
                       he remembers

@@ @@

“i’m sorry” – he
                             “so sorry” – she

water recedes with cosseted hugs
******************************
each storm a star
                               on heaven’s window

************* *****************

the home of marriage protected by stilts

Excellent, Kim! I think most couples can relate to having some battles, but with sorrow and remorse, there's hope. I love the ending...hugs, Rhonda

The drama that you unfolded, I have lived and wonder if any married person has not! Your styling worked for me, effectively highlighting the inner turmoil and struggle of such conflicts. Your creativity combined well with reality, producing a poem worth reading, Kim. Good job. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
