Fun write, Jan (unless one is a fly, of course). We’ve got two of those swatters because we back onto farmland. When I start swinging I must look like Bjorn Borg on speed. Good luck in the contest. ;-) Terry

Fancy fly swatters? One of our local stores does them for £1.99. Even at that price, they actually work... if you can actually hit the fly in the first place. Mind you, once you missed the fly a dozen times, the mini firework display when you get the little blighter feels like the Fourth of July! ;-)
