Audrey, I hope I am interpreting this correctly. For me, it's a person in your life always keeping you from your passion, which is poetry? I really can relate to this if this is the meaning! GREAT metaphor, Audrey. Poetry as first love. Yes, you did a great write here. Is it for any contest? (read my other sijo. It's the one I entered in the contest, not the one about the bard.
