Stolen Childhood

As a child, I always felt loved You made me feel I didn't exist Your touch confirmed I was unloved Fear made me a slave, couldn't resist You robbed me of my childhood years As a child, I always felt loved You introduced me to many fears I couldn't believe in God above One day I was free as a dove When I raised my voice real loud As a child, I always felt loved I could stand tall and very proud No longer shackled to my past I embraced love from up above Living life daily with a blast As a child, I always felt loved Alexis Y. 08-16-17
