Still here,
Leaves dancing in the winds,
Winds resonating, graceful and breathless,
Like the seasons who still light,
Brilliant promises in rays, glowing softly,
Gentling the night’s whimsical breath,
Roaring through the dawn,
In laughing songs, risking the dewlike
Moments, tones of hope, sweet hope.
Still here,
Blushing roses, petals glossy and soft,
Making memories with the smooth flow,
Lingering beside a grave,
Still as heads bowed, praying,
What they’re saying – nearly silent,
Sighs of memories in tones of serenity,
Abiding in the leaves, still dancing,
Glistening with dew, in hues
Of dawn’s early rising, stars almost smiling.
Still here,
Breathless memories
Absorbed by beating hearts,
Souls intense pulse, a believing,
Like hope – faith
And, oh yes, love, sweet love,
Startled by the reflection of light,
Graceful as stars strewn on the night,
Whimsical and gentle, embracing those,
Who pray, somber, yet subtle hues,
Love erases so much doubt,
Colors the forests and the trees, the leaves
In light, praising the One who matters,
The One who shatters every suspicion.
His love is still here.
And, with Him…
Even grief can’t take away,
The love, the grace, the wonder,
The reason that I believe –
He is with me, still here…
Giving to me that peace,
Peace that surpasseth understanding.
Peace the remembers – even death,
Can’t break the promise He’s given,
A promise that we will survive, even death,
Death can’t take our souls away from Him,
Our Father, Our Jesus, Our friend – Our eternity with Him!
