Still Close and Near

Many things I am sure are always meant When you have honored a historical event; Gave much respect, honor filled with pride For those who gave their lives and died. Feeling was seen in each figure and face; In time, each historical event has a place; To fit right in feeling like it does belong; Part of an anthem along with a song. Will write poem that properly does address Having been pain in form of bloody mess, And maybe dying never to be seen again Or deep in earth some bodies have been. God, as you hear each one of my prayers, Please do take pity on all those who cares; Each one who has gone and no longer here; Image and feelings are still close and near. Jim Horn
