Sticks and Stones

She's walks down the plank, and never turns back. The angry waters churn and tumble higher than a mountain top stare her in the eye. Her face turns to stone as she picks up her slack.
As she fumbles forward her patience shows no mercy. Those eyes meant something to her, and those words were like beautiful daggers that pierced through her heart. Nothing seems to turn out right when bad timing grabs hold. Her heart is nothing now but cold.
As she lies in unfamiliar sheets filled with past memories she looks beside herself with regretful thoughts. Tears stream down, blood red cringe. Real as real can get, shows no mercy with such cold statements.
Those sticks and stones will break fragile bones, but words drive much deeper.
She looks up at the stars and finds a shine so bright, she can't help but look away.
Patience runs low, emotions screams high, tears rolls down, fear crawls up.
Her heart hurts, and her mind aches with those looks of pure deceit. She walks to the edge with one last breath, never wanting back.
Wicked stones bruised her bones, but wishful words broke her much worse.
