Steps Leading Nowhere
Its so hard to stay afloat
On a sinking damaged boat
That has been my life a while
Every step of every mile
Left a footprint of despair
Roads weren't leading anywhere
All by myself alone and lost
Chilly by the icy frost
Everyone left in my path
Now it's very hard to grasp
The crazy insanity
That's stirring inside of me
Every time I am awake
As the hours slowly take
Another small tiny trace
Of myself I can't replace
Losing more of who I am
Life hit me with a huge WHAM
Knocking me out--I am down
My self worth no longer found
