VERY good questionku. Can we not put a question mark on the end of these? I sure wish the title bar let us do that!!

Jealousy is understandable when it comes in shades of light green....the problem sets in when it turns from light to dark. The latter could easily lead to hatred, and what started as a scratch becomes a wound. Take care Eileen. hugs // paul

Great questionku Eileen.....too bad we couldn't test the steeped levels and those that have brewed to long, we could add a little more water to so that hurt could be avoided. Terrific write. Hugs

Jealousy jilts joy, hatred only harms the heart. You make me think heavily Eileen...J.A.B

I'm glad to have you here, Justin. It intrigues me that you find my little writes meaningful. Thank you. What you have written is truth indeed. I can't say that I don't get jealous at times. I do. Very much so. If the one I love is worthy...I can be consumed by jealousy. It is understandable.

Being envious rather than appreciative is a slippery path to take... who is being hurt? Everyone whose involved. Deep write, my friend!

Amen, Timothy. Human nature is what it is, though. Some are more jealous than others. Personally....I find it very reassuring when the one I love shows some signs of jealous. It means he is possessive and protective of me. There comes the fine line where it becomes obsessive. Thanks for your comment.

I grew up in a home where this emotion prevailed so I vowed to not let it be an influencer in my life. This brings many questions to mind.

The one who lets oneself to entertain such feelings, I think dear, Eileen! Wisdom is not to let our hearts to be occupied by these feelings for they steal precious space from love! Good question!

You are right, my dear poet. The inspiration came from a poem I read by a poetess. It made me think deeply. Thank you for visiting me and for leaving your comments.
