The best way to begin again
As the morning sun beams
Softly across the heart
Is to whisper a prayer of thanks
For all that you’ve been blessed with
Today and every day
Through joy and pain, happy or sad
You’ve known hope and faith
And an amazing, overwhelming love
The best way to start the day
Is to listen to your heart
And take a moment to pray
Thanking God for all that you are
All that you’ve been given
And all the light you’ve been shown
Thanking God for the breath in your lungs
The whisper of a smile on your lips
The gentle faith that keeps you believing
Thanking God for today and tomorrow
For the memories that are with you
Allowing you to appreciate all that you’ve seen
Thanking God for it all, whatever comes
Know that He will comfort and calm
With grace that fills your heart up
The best way to begin a new day
As the sun warms your skin
Is to pray and praise with love
That keeps you giving your best!
