Thinking, I lay awake
Amongst twisted blankets
Tossing until I say for goodness sake
The house is solitude and quiet
I sit at the window seeking a star
But find just scars
Oh, twinkle, twinkle little star, above
Take this sorrow and let me keep the love
Long, I stay there waiting
So my star can answer
But dawn is breaking and night is fading
And all the birds call with their chatter
It is morning, it is morning, oh bliss
Give star a kiss
Sun is peaking through the emerald trees
And here comes the sweet morning breeze
