Stale As the Wind-New

Stale as the wind was, so was my soul, unveiling my poor essence for crumbs- Forgetting I was lost at sea… when you came and abandoned me. Encompassed by sin without forgiveness, feeling all the shame of loss and regret- Forgetting we were meant to be… when you came and abandoned me. I saw you standing there with the stale wind blowing through your hair- Forgetting how I longed to be free… when you came and abandoned me. March 14, 2019
