I unfortunately have a distinct past vision of this very couch. I think alot of people might have that old piece of furniture that has oh so visibly experienced life. Congratulations on getting a placement in this contest.

I just read some ones poem yesterday about a dinning room table that had its full use,.....this works well with it ! Great poem Doris,....wondering if I'll read another run down furniture poem this week !,..comes in threes,..doesn't it ? *smiles* james

Sometimes the stained, bent sofa can recall such memories. Like you, I "cover over" furniture like this, but in doing so, perhaps we are covering the memories as well. Very intriguing write, Doris! Love, Carolyn
