BAck with my congratulations, Dear Heart. I wonder, do you see many squirrels in your yard? My sister has them all over the area she lives in Arkansas. They had a weird name for them , something like RATS. I asked her why and she said they were in the rodent family But for me, they are just too adorable for that.

Andrea, thanks for the congratulations, we have tons of squirrels in Ottawa, oh, I have heard people call them rats with pretty tails, how cruel, they are sweet but can be destructive, when they are making their nests, they carried away plastic webbing I had in stalled to keep my kitty from wandering away and even now there are holes in the newly installed but no worries Snuggles never leaves my side !

Congratulations on your fine win, Constance. I enjoyed this delightful entry, and the sweet accompanying visual. The connection between the two stanzas is well reflected in the combination of both end lines: the wild wind blows...fall leaves drifting. Regards // paul

How precious! As we speak squirrels are feasting in my bird feeders. Some people try to get rid of them, but I say come one, come all, to all the little birds and critters.
