Springtime Magic Waiting Springtime, anxious, nagging; just three months to go. Winter climate dragging; do not need more snow. Springtime magic waiting 'neath the cold bare ground. Warmer weather baiting buds to soon come 'round. Nature sometimes bringing days that do not fit; Winter climate springing warmth but will not quit. Hoping, wishing, praying; none of these will do. Winter firmly saying Spring will come when due! Sandra M. Haight ~3rd Place~ Contest: 88 Syllables Sponsor: Joseph May Judged: 03/14/2018 Rules: 1. Lines 1 and 3 are 3 words of 2 syllables each 2. Boy isn't that the truth Sandra! I can't believe the snowstorms one after the other and power outages everyone in the cold has had to cope with. I feel for them. Congratulations on your wonderful win! : ) xxoo

Simply lovely, so finely written. Bring on Spring, the older I get the less I like winter; when young it sparkles with invitation, when older it is only pretty before man turns it gray and grainy. Plus it becomes a transportation challenge when one works. But then there is Spring which we love! I enjoyed this very much. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
