The beast of winter crept off after Spring's first week. Sun now strokes my cheek. I can almost hear a bleat. March will go out like a lamb. An oldie revised for Rick Parise' One Tanka- Old Or New - See Title Requirement Poetry Contest

Oh, I love this. Back when I was going to church. There was a song called The Lion and The Lamb. I can't find it anywhere. I'm sure I have it in a box of cassette :) I wrote that Hero poem in 2015 when I came home tired, and just wanted to do nothing :) Happy Easter :)

Your poem of spring should bring joy to many readers' hearts, Andrea. I think the beast sleeps when he visits Florida, no matter what time of year. But there are folks up north who are glad to see the "lamb." Excellent! Best wishes in the contest.

We need both sunshine and rain to grow and mature. Without each type of weather we would surely die. You know the old saying, Too much of a good thing is never good. Nothing that lives can survive without both. Great write my friend. Love the pics. God Bless, JB
