Spring's First Kiss

By Carolyn Devonshire

Two hearts we carved in the budding tree
One heart for Peter, one for me
Fifteen, fresh as the season
Breeze brushed love to our lips
Sharing our first kiss
The heart remains
Tree has grown
Love once
Bloomed

(2) !! "I HAVE BEEN HONORED “personally” INDEED OF GOD MY FATHER IN HAVING THE PRIVILEGE OF KNOWING YOU AND IN BEING SELECTED BY YOUR WISDOM OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!! AND THIS WAS BY BEING HONORED IN YOUR CONTESTS IN THREE FIRST PLACE HONORS. BLESSING OF PARANORMAL LOVE BE POURED OUT UNTO YOU, Carolyn! One cannot achieve any higher honor, than to seek and choose their own source(God) above the flesh foible. Agape, Moses

(1) The honor of nature in spring is an honor to God Carolyn! "The great piece of art that you are yourself" is revealed, Carolyn, in this Nonet! For when one discovers the beauty of nature hidden within it's own perfection! They have discover the beauty of God's body. Then one is apt to look past the foible flesh body to see the essence of Love's beauty hidden within the perfection of the Sacred heart of another! You've done this!!

Thanks for commenting on my "Santa's Helper" poem, Carolyn. I remember carving my initials in a tree when I was young. It wasn't long after that I read (or somebody told me) you shouldn't do that, as it harms the tree. Now, this poem has me traveling back in time and wondering if my love killed a tree!

Best of luck in Michael's contest, Carolyn! Nicely written poem! Than you so much for your kind comments on Neruda. A great poet and when living in Chile I lerned much more about him. A tragedy and shame that his home was ransacked by Chilean soldiers during Pinochet's the military coup in 1973. Have a great week!...Love, Gert

We carved our love on the leaves, which like our puppy love...fell to the breeze, but painfully so! Loved your nonet!
