Hi Darlene! Happy first day of spring. So nice to be able to say that after all of the rain! I was just saying to my husband that I am hearing so many returning bird calls. It is definitely spring! All the best! Blessings!

Dear Sam, Your haikus are just lovely. I tried to pick one I love best, but each is perfect alone, and together, they form a wonderful description of the weather. Pineapple Express--you must be on the West Coast :) Maybe we'll get left-overs.

Greetings Ann! I am deeply grateful for your lovely feedback. I do love exploring a theme through haiku then putting them into a string. And, yes, we do live on the West Coast. I guess "pineapple express" does give it away! Hope you get some of the rainy blessings" we have have received! Blessings!

There's a lot to like here. It took me a couple of reads and then it leapt off the page like a fully immersive magic eye picture (if you remember those!) Great poem :)

Hi DD! I do remember the "magic eye" pictures - so fun and made for many moments of delving into the mystery of the pictures. Loved your feedback with your moment of clarity jumping off the the page! Great description! I love those great "a-ha" moments as a poem comes into focus for me. So glad you enjoyed it! All the best! Blessings!

So descriptive of the spring rain returning to nuture the earth, love the lines 'banshee ballads rise' and 'plaintive wind oboes' - we actually had our first 60 degree day yesterday after a lot of rain so spring feels closer each day~

Thank you so much Michelle! As one who is intimately acquainted with rain, your lovely feedback is so meaningful to me. So appreciate it. I remember when the rain clouds started to disappear and the temperatures started rising with the advent of spring in the NW and people started wearing shorts!! It was an amazing feeling! Indeed, the joy of spring is near! Blessings of spring days to you! Enjoy!

"rain hums sad lyrics/ in mantras of humid breaths ~ sleepy snowdrops wake" Sam, you are a class apart. Your images are so telling and esoteric. Your poems in general and your haikus in particular are exceptional. I can never aspire to write in your style....

Hi Lasaad! Many thanks my friend. For me haiku is really an open window into the intricate beauty of nature and sitting quietly enough to watch nature breath. Your feedback really gives my day a much needed lift! Thank you. Sending you blessings!
