Spring Showers
Showers of Spring are heaven sent,
with wafts of smell flowers vent,
grass is green now winter’s spent.
They rattle along window panes,
droplets tinkling down country lanes,
down to ponds with white cranes.
watered washed garden roses smile,
a host of colours to beguile,
stretch all around for a mile!
Showers of Spring are such a joy,
for hearts full of love to deploy,
kiss her cheeks so red with coy!
