Nature's Signposts

Sunlight melts frozen fragile flakes of snow and drop by drop, Winter trickles away. And soon snowdrops spontaneously show, impatient for Spring to warm up the day. Winter disappears like a phantom ghost as icicles start dripping from the eaves. And yellow Daffodils, Nature's signposts, guide Spring in, unfurling emerald leaves. Spring exudes the odor of life's rebirth; sweetly subtle, it lingers on one's breath. For it's the fresh fragrance of Mother Earth, the scent of resurrecting life from death. Budding trees are bountiful gifts of Spring, morphing into a million shades of green. And it's a treasure She's eager to bring, summoning flowers to color the scene.
