Spring Scene
Spring serenades to the rhythm of the rippling air
I hear the melodic whisper of the southern wind
The sinking sun sets the sedate skyline on cold fire
Fleet of cloud clump sails leaving hued wisps behind.
Morning mist wafts on the pasture of pearly dew
Bent blades of green grass gleam by sparkling touch
Spotless lucent sky turns to silk canvas of serene blue
Gossamer leaves sprout as the barren boughs watch.
Buds of bursting color unfurl flushing fresco of flower
Weave the lattice of grandeur on mesmeric meadow
Fluorescent butterflies flitter through sunshine shower
The vista of beguiling beauty is framed on my window.
When from nowhere the gloomy clouds tend to veer
From treasure-trove of nature I gather gems of cheer.
