Spring Is Not All

Tis now that warmer season they call Spring of constant nasal drain and dainty rain. You waken to the songs that Robins sing, while budding trees shed pollen on your pain. Your allergies devour you by the hour, smelling the bloom in new cut lawns and weeds. Nature’s creatures great and small have power. Again, we live with ants, wasps, bugs and bees. Gone is dear snow and crystal, winter glow. You’ll dream of drifts and winter’s cleansing kiss, Flowered white blossoms fall when Spring winds blow. Your longing for the colder times persists. Spring beauty shows us Nature at its heights. Yet, many folks on Fall must set their sights. 2/24/2023 Spring Is Not All Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Michelle Faulkner
