Spring Forward
With a spring in it's step, winter is moving on
the pasty white skin will soon be gone
avert your eyes there's a naked john
darkness is shrinking, days are gettin' long
unpack the barbie a fork and a tong
and fill up your senses with natures song.
The cold, cold night is warmly fading
pack the ice skates away, it's time for blading
flowers under canopy, seek sheltered shading
the sea gets calmer, barely waving
kids in the water, parents ashore just wading
Africanz women ask 'hey sweetie, you want your hair braiding?'
The sounds of laughter in the air
summertime a time so free from care
give me heat, for the cold i have had my share
psychedelic tunes from the stereo blare
finding a good song on radio1, now that is rare
all they play is karaoke muppets with lovely fake up and hair!
