Tri-Con

Created by Connie Marcum Wong consisting of at least 4 three-line stanzas. Each line has no set meter or syllable count. The last word in each stanza must rhyme with the following Stanza and then you need to change your rhyming word again in the third stanza and so on.

The air is cool, not cold, and refreshingly light with the sweet scent of Spring. Spring's stay is oft fleeting, and so I am hoping that this visit will last. Songbirds begin to chirp; a dull sun starts shining and butterflies take wing. Winter's a memory of frozen yesterdays; time has placed in the past. Green saturates the scene creating a canvas out of Winter squalor. And Spring showers nourish; rejuvenating life with brush strokes of color.

Good Morning Emile. I'm sorry so much time has passed since I visited. Your theme and words are poetry. I loved the line of butterflies are on wing. Your ending stanza and words say it all. Thank you for sharing. May this day find you well.

Spring does arrive tenatively at first, green does bring life to the canvas, and the spring's warmth always rejuvenates everything. Well written, my friend. A nice verse indeed!
