Dear Empress, your masterful alliteration is visible even in a monoku. "sip musky rouge from the sighs of spring..." How poetic and how splendidly imaginative! A sure winner.

Cherry blossom is my favourite but I never knew it was also called sakura!!! I love this monoku - it conjures also an effortlessly beautiful lady sauntering down the street - best of luck in the contest.
