Spoke To a Rose
I spoke to a Rose last night~
topics not the usual color and
scent; more, how noses toward
blossoms fondly cant – spoke
of dreamy dreamy eyes...of
dreamy snuggles, and dreamy
sighs: was offered a blush-one
to pick and take home! Said,
I would settle, like Lincoln, for
a presidency, and a poem.
