Spirit Yearning

Tension builds, but is held within. Emotions remain under control. An inner battle that I will never win. A burden weighing heavily on my soul. A soul carries the essence of who we are. Faith and spirituality come together here. Together for the journey, no matter how far. Hoping not to falter when faced with fear. At times my spirit yearns to take flight. To fly free, searching for meaning. Lifting the darkness, letting in the light. A gift for my inner most being. Life can be joyful, or it can fall apart. We are unable to predict what tomorrow may bring. A soul must be nurtured as love nurtures a heart. Allow it to soar, give it a chance to sing.
