Speak Your Truth
So innocent and young with a bright future,
she was touched in ways she wished to forget-
If only mommy could put a loving suture
on the heart wrenching memories of regret.
So many times of anguish she did fret.
Oh, the torment and the awful disrespect,
of a childhood filled with insanity and neglect.
She grew up filled with fear and insecurity,
her life unmanageable and full of blame-
Shadowed by the memories of obscurity,
feeling like a lost woman with no name.
Her heart was saddened by the constant shame,
with no one to turn to she started to hide,
she was always haunted and committed suicide.
Now she is remembered as a cowardice girl,
the one who couldn’t handle life on her own-
If only they could all wake up and see her world
was full of self-hate; inner beauty was never shown.
She was an outcast, so afraid and alone.
We need to raise more awareness, find more support,
this this abusive behavior must somehow abort.
If you are one of these people who have been abused,
speak out to someone who will care-
You are not the only one who has been used,
find someone to listen, someone will be there.
I know this situation can be a bear,
but you are worth every ear given in need…
so get help from others, I beg of you and plead.
