*From a high school teenager's perspective*
What was that you said?
That I lack the might to hold up the sky?
Speak for yourself. You don't know me. I don't.
And did you also say...
That I'd never reach the apogee
Of the towering mountain before me?
Speak for yourself. Watch me reach the summit
I heard through the grapevine
That you laughed and claimed
The goals I set for myself have no feet?
Speak for yourself. They do, and I run with them
A little birdie whispered in my ear
That you're green with envy, and you belittled
My ambitions. I believe so, and i pity you, because...
You'll never ever hold me back or tear me down.
Whatever you say to me
Or about me, to anyone?
Speak for yourself!
