Spare Them Too O Lord

Save blades of grass with giant trees, Along with trees protect cool breeze. Spare green with grey, wet with the dry, Birds and beasts with smallest of bees; And dear Lord, spare thou cow with calf, Care too if a wolf hungry is. Dreams in each eye, in heart wishes By thee willed, O spare them all please. Save rhythm with the dancing feet Ere saving the anklets of his; As so far spared, sheltered this earth, Smoothen up now man’s forehead crease. Fine, they’ve not dressed thy hurt finger, Do spare them still, let their pains cease. _____________________________________ Inspired by a Gujarati Ghazal by Pranav Pandya Ghazal |05.11.2021|
