"Ticket to Mars, no return". I was interested at first, but the no return part makes me wonder why? Is this a trick? Who would go under those conditions? I can think of no one. Thank you for inspiring me today to write a poem about it.

Hi Lindsay, And people are going to Mars on a one way ticket! Good choice - avoid dying because of pollution or lack of water, bad choice, as once you are on that space ship you cant change your mind! Thanks for a great comment Lindsay, Hugs, Jennifer.

Hi Gershon thank-you for your lovely comment - have you booked your one way ticket to Mars???!!1 - 7 months to get there, and we will one day die there. Brave people, pioneers, I applaud them - but not my cup of tea! Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Hi Gordon, the option for a one way ticket is there, but families are left behind, so you and I couldn't do this!. Thank you for a great comment, poetry hugs, Jennifer

Why should we have to move to Mars ? All the dead weight and debris would only follow us anyway

But imagine if some of this debris decides it wants to visit plane earth - it could take out, thousands of people. Maybe best we go on a one way ticket to Mars! Poetry hugs, Jennifer. Thanks for a very relative comment Christopher.

I can only imagine the excitement of the people chosen to go to Mars in 2024 or 2025 - it sounds unreal that you say goodbye to your whole family forever! There are two S.African women on the passenger list I understand. Thank-you for a brilliant comment my friend - poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Hi Vijay, there is a sense of urgency to this race, unfortunately the tickets will be exorbitantly expensive so i guess film stars, football stars, sports stars and of course Donald Trump and the likes will benefit first and foremost. Glad you felt the journey in my poem, maybe they could employ us as cabin crew!!! Poetry hugs, Jennifer

Sometimes a one way ticket to mars is tempting with all the problems in our world. There is talk of such a project. Space though facinates me. Tom

Hi Tom, Yes there is, three S. Africans have applied and have been chosen to go to Mars - ages varying from 22 - 45. An adventurous move. Thank-you for the comment. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.
