Sour Lemons
Sour lemons like to bite your tongue;
remember the very first time?
As seen through the eyes of the young,
Sour lemons like to bite your tongue.
Do you recollect being swung;
recall how it felt so sublime?
Sour lemons like to bite your tongue;
remember the very first time?
Recall how it felt so sublime;
watching snowflakes fall from the sky.
Magical days back in your prime,
recall how it felt so sublime?
Always covered in dirt and grime;
there was nothing you feared to try.
Recall how it felt so sublime;
watching snowflakes fall from the sky.
There was nothing you feared to try;
from kiss-and-tell to hide-and-seek.
Can you remember feeling spry,
there was nothing you feared to try?
Sympatric to people who cry;
you never considered them weak.
There was nothing you feared to try,
from kiss-and-tell to hide-and-seek.
