Sour Lemons
Sour lemons seem to bite your tongue;
remember the very first time?
As seen through the eyes of the young,
sour lemons seem to bite your tongue.
Think of the fun of being swung;
as I recall, it felt sublime.
Sour lemons seem to bite your tongue,
remember the very first time?
As I recall, it felt sublime
watching snowflakes fall from the sky.
Those magical days in my prime,
as I recall, it felt sublime
Always covered in dirt and grime,
there was nothing that I wouldn't try.
As I recall, it felt sublime,
watching snowflakes fall from the sky.
There was nothing that I wouldn't try,
from kiss-and-tell to hide-and-seek.
I remember when I was spry,
there was nothing that I wouldn't try.
Sympatric to people that cry,
I never considered them weak.
There was nothing that I wouldn't try,
from kiss-and-tell to hide-and-seek.
